Welcome to the case study for Module 3.
In the background materials, we looked at the nature of organizational
design and behavior in general, as well as how they apply specifically
to criminal justice administration. In this case, you will apply that
knowledge to assess the degree to which that knowledge needs to be
adapted based on aspects of diversity.
Imagine that you have been contracted to prepare a report that presents
and details specific recommendations for remediating the challenges of
African American women that have been released from the prison system
and are re-entering society.

Reflecting on your background and expertise in organizational design and
behavior and its application to criminal justice administration, write a
4- to 5-page interdepartmental memo outlining a series of actionable
recommendations to assist women of different ethnicities, but especially
African-American women, being released from incarceration. Be sure to
identify the level at which you are working, e.g., national, state, or
local (your choice).
Explain and support your views with reference to ideas from the
background readings and any other relevant sources that you have found
on the internet. I want you to use at least 3 different sources beyond
those given in the Background readings, all of which should be annotated
on your References page and cited within the body of your paper.
